From April 25 to 26, the national stage of the Global HackAtom International Student Championship was held in Almaty with the support of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation. The championship aims to promote engineering and nuclear-related disciplines while developing students' ability to solve practical challenges faced by the nuclear industry.
During the competition, student teams were given 24 hours to develop solutions to real-world case studies addressing current industry challenges. The working language of the competition was English, providing participants with valuable experience in an international professional environment.
Representing D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU), a team of students from the International School of Engineering delivered an outstanding performance, earning 3rd place among 16 competing teams. Their achievement reflects the university's strong emphasis on engineering excellence, innovation, and preparing students to address complex challenges in the global energy sector.
