In July 2025, in Astana, the team from D. Serikbayev EKTU once again became one of the winners in the final of the "3.2.1. Start!" project. This initiative brings together the most active universities in Kazakhstan, inspiring young people to take real environmental action.

Throughout the season, students from 14 universities collected plastic waste, sent it for recycling, and proved that environmental responsibility starts with personal action.

The "3.2.1. Start!" eco-project is implemented with the support and initiative of CCI Kazakhstan.

The award ceremony for the finalists of the 9th season took place during a panel session of the IX Eurasian Business Forum "Green Energy & Waste Recycling," organized by the Kazakhstan Waste Management Association KazWaste with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As part of the forum, the II Forum of Youth and Universities of Kazakhstan on Plastic Waste Collection - "Youth Together - Waste Separately" - was also held.

During the project defense, the EKTU team achieved excellent results: fresh ideas, a systematic approach, active engagement, and creative solutions were highly praised by the jury.

A certificate worth 500,000 tenge for the Best Project Curator (1st place among the participating universities) became well-deserved recognition of the team's and the university's efforts!

In addition, the EKTU "Clover" team was awarded 1st place in the environmental competition "3.2.1. Quest."

As winners, the Clover team and EKTU curators Olga Petrova and Ekaterina Strokova visited the CCI Kazakhstan beverage factory in Astana.

May this success inspire other universities and young people across Kazakhstan to achieve new environmental milestones! Many great deeds and victories lie ahead!
