Today, the D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University hosted an official visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan. The university welcomed the delegation and presented the university’s activities, scientific achievements, and international projects.

During the visit, the Ambassador was introduced to the university’s key laboratories and research centers, including the VERITAS Center of Excellence, the Kazakh-German Institute, and the Smart Engineering Center. The guest was shown the university’s latest developments in the field of engineering innovation.

At the meeting with the university administration, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation between East Kazakhstan Technical University and French higher education institutions. Special attention was given to the training of engineering specialists for the nuclear industry, research in nuclear technologies, and joint initiatives in the fields of ecology and sustainable development.

It was noted that the university is actively expanding its international partnerships and is interested in establishing strategic cooperation with French universities such as Université Grenoble Alpes, Université de Haute-Alsace, Université Paris-Saclay, and other leading educational institutions in France.

Following the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation through joint educational programs, academic exchanges, and research projects aimed at addressing global technological and environmental challenges.
