A delegation from D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University is participating in the 27th China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education (CACIE) and China Education Expo (CEE), held as part of the event in Beijing. The delegation is led by Asiya Mashekenova, Member of the Management Board and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.
The visit aims to introduce EKTU’s degree programmes to prospective Chinese students and potential partners, support international student recruitment, and develop academic cooperation with Chinese universities.
The programme includes a plenary session, thematic forums, and business meetings. These provide opportunities to explore international educational practices and discuss potential cooperation in academic mobility, joint programmes, and dual-degree programmes.
At CEE, EKTU plans to present its study opportunities to prospective students, parents, and representatives of universities and educational organisations. The presentation also highlights existing initiatives with Chinese partners, including the Luban Workshop and a preparatory course for Chinese citizens.
Participation in these international events raises EKTU’s profile abroad and creates opportunities to establish new academic partnerships. For the university, this supports broader international exchange opportunities for students and faculty, the development of engineering education, and greater visibility for Kazakhstan’s educational capabilities.
