Third-year students of the educational program “Mechanics and Metalworking” visited East Kazakhstan Machine-Building Plant LLP.

The purpose of the visit was to gain practical insight into real machine-building production processes, metalworking technologies, and working conditions, as well as to explore opportunities for industrial internships and dual education at the enterprise.

During the tour, workshop supervisors introduced the students to the company’s structure and key technological sections. The students observed the process of manufacturing parts on production machines, including equipment with Computer Numerical Control (CNC), and examined samples of finished products. Plant specialists demonstrated practical metalworking techniques, explained the technologies used, and emphasized the requirements for precision and quality in operations.

Company representatives also spoke about the equipment in use, modern metalworking technologies, industrial safety systems, and the requirements for interns and future young professionals.

As part of the meeting, issues related to industrial internships, assigning students to mentors from among experienced employees, and prospects for further training through the dual education system with subsequent employment were discussed.

The excursion allowed students to see how theoretical knowledge from their professional disciplines is applied in real production conditions and helped them form a clearer understanding of their future professional activities.

Such field visits strengthen cooperation between the university and regional industrial enterprises and serve as an important element of practice-oriented training for specialists in mechanics and metalworking.
