The city of Altai hosted the annual “Aqyldy AWARDS 2026” ceremony, organized by D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University.
First launched in 2019, the “Aqyldy AWARDS” is a regional educational project aimed at supporting graduates of secondary schools in the East Kazakhstan region who are candidates for the “Altyn Belgi” distinction. The main goal of the project is to recognize and encourage students’ intellectual, creative, and project-based achievements.
During the ceremony, students from schools in Altai were honored for their outstanding academic, project, and research accomplishments. The winners were awarded educational grants and university certificates. The awards were presented across several nominations covering priority areas of modern education, including digital technologies, artificial intelligence, engineering thinking, entrepreneurship, and environmental responsibility.
Special attention during the ceremony was given to the role of Altai’s education system, as well as to the contribution of teachers and parents in nurturing and supporting talented students. Letters of appreciation were presented to representatives of educational authorities, heads of educational institutions, teaching staff, and parents of the award recipients.
The “Aqyldy AWARDS 2026” once again highlights the consistent efforts of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University in advancing career guidance initiatives, supporting gifted youth, and strengthening collaboration with secondary education institutions across the region.
