In early July, EKTU participated in the finals of the ninth season of the republican environmental project «3.2.1.Start!», aimed at promoting sustainable consumption and advancing waste separation practices. Our university has long supported initiatives for plastic collection and recycling, engaging both students and faculty in hands-on environmental efforts.

However, the success of such initiatives would not be possible without reliable partners. One of them is «EcoVostok-Leader», the largest secondary raw materials collection and transportation company in Eastern Kazakhstan. EcoVostok-Leader actively supported EKTU in preparing for and participating in the competition finals, enabling the university to present its environmental initiatives with distinction at the national level.

Significant assistance in implementing the project was also provided by OskemenSpecKommunTrans LLP, which supplied the necessary infrastructure and logistical support for plastic waste collection. The company ensured timely removal and transportation of collected materials, allowing for an efficient and uninterrupted waste separation process.

We sincerely thank all our partners for their contributions to this shared cause and extend our gratitude to the project sponsor, CCI Kazakhstan, for supporting environmental initiatives in Kazakhstan. This collaboration between academia, businesses, and the recycling industry demonstrates that meaningful environmental change is only possible through joint efforts.
