Didar Kairatovich Yeskermessov, Associate Professor of the International School of Engineering at D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU), participated in the Erasmus+ Academic Mobility Programme, completing a teaching and research mobility at the Algeciras School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), University of Cádiz, Spain.
The visit aimed to strengthen international cooperation, enhance academic partnerships between the two universities, exchange teaching and research experience, and expand opportunities for joint educational and scientific projects.
As part of the mobility programme, Dr. Yeskermessov delivered a series of lectures and scientific seminars for students, academic staff, and researchers at the University of Cádiz. The lectures focused on recent advances in surface engineering, coating technologies, and materials science. Particular attention was given to plasma nitriding, PVD and CVD coating technologies, tribology, corrosion studies, and modern methods for analyzing the structure and properties of materials using XRD, SEM/EDX, and AFM techniques.
During the visit, Dr. Yeskermessov also held meetings with the management, faculty members, and researchers of ASET, where he presented the scientific and educational potential of D. Serikbayev EKTU. The discussions focused on future cooperation in joint research projects, international scientific publications, participation in grant programmes, and the expansion of academic mobility opportunities for faculty members and students.
Participation in the Erasmus+ programme enabled the exchange of advanced educational and research practices, strengthened international academic partnerships, and established new professional contacts. The experience gained during the mobility will contribute to the further internationalization of D. Serikbayev EKTU, the improvement of educational programmes, and the expansion of cooperation with leading international universities.
