In the first decade of September 2025, the East Kazakhstan Technical University named after D. Serikbayev will host the official opening ceremony of the Smart Driving Technology Engineering Center — a high-tech hub focused on the development and implementation of intelligent solutions in transport and engineering.
The center will become a core of innovation, bringing together research laboratories, project offices, and educational spaces dedicated to training a new generation of engineers.
One of the key moments of the ceremony will be the presentation of the center’s visual symbol — the “Sign of Innovation and Mastery”, designed for the Lu Ban Workshop. This symbol represents engineering precision, a modern technological approach, and the philosophy of sustainable development — a visual reflection of the center’s mission.
Key focus areas of the center include:
- Next-generation electric and hybrid vehicles equipped with advanced intelligent control systems that provide adaptive road behavior, energy efficiency, and high safety levels;
- Autonomous control systems (autopilots), developed using machine vision, artificial intelligence, and digital twin technologies to enable safe and autonomous driving in complex urban and road conditions.
Smart Driving Technology is more than just a name. It is an ecosystem where innovation becomes practical solutions, and engineering becomes the art of shaping the future.
