Vladimir Krivykh, a graduate of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, has earned the international Kubestronaut status. His name has been included in the official list of certified specialists from Kazakhstan on the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) website.
Vladimir graduated from EKTU with a degree in Mathematical and Computer Modelling. Today, he continues his professional career at his alma mater as a system administrator in the university’s Department of Information Technology.
Kubestronaut is an international status recognising advanced knowledge and practical skills in Kubernetes and cloud technologies. Kubernetes is used to manage modern digital services: it helps automate the deployment and updating of applications, allocate computing resources efficiently, and ensure the stable operation of information systems.
To earn this status, a specialist must successfully pass five international certification exams and keep all certificates active. These certifications confirm expertise in Kubernetes administration, the development and deployment of cloud applications, digital infrastructure security, and the fundamental principles of containerisation and cloud-native technologies.
The certification exams assess not only theoretical knowledge but also the ability to solve practical tasks. These include configuring and maintaining digital systems, identifying technical issues, protecting infrastructure, and ensuring the uninterrupted operation of services.
