Behind every labour dynasty lies a history of professional dedication, family traditions, and people who have devoted their lives to their chosen profession.
On November 3, East Kazakhstan Technical University named after D. Serikbayev hosted the ENBEK ZHOLY talk show as part of EKTU EduWeek – 2026 Academic Week. The event focused on labour dynasties, the continuity of generations, and the value of work.
The guests included representatives of the Kozhakhmetov family, whose professional history is closely connected with Ulba Metallurgical Plant JSC (UMP JSC), and a representative of the Stolyarov family, whose history has been intertwined with the university for many years. The representatives of families are university graduates, and the university takes pride in their professional achievements and contributions to preserving labour traditions.
During the talk show, the guests shared the origins of their labour dynasties, spoke about the family members who established their professional traditions, and highlighted subsequent generations who continued their work. Their stories were accompanied by photographs illustrating the families' professional journeys over the years.
The participants also shared personal memories, family traditions, and life experiences. Students had an opportunity to ask questions and learn about the role of work and professional dedication in the lives of several generations.
Musical performances added a special atmosphere to the event.
At the end of the talk show, representatives of the labour dynasties were presented with letters of appreciation and commemorative gifts in recognition of their years of dedicated work and contributions to preserving labour traditions.
The ENBEK ZHOLY talk show highlighted that the true value of work lies not only in personal achievements but also in the experience, knowledge, and traditions passed down to future generations.
