Project abstract
Purpose of the Project is to develop and provide physical and chemical justification for an effective integrated technology for processing oxidized ores of non-ferrous metals.
Relevance: In conditions of depletion of reserves of easily enriched sulfide ores and an increase in the share of difficult-to-enrich oxidized and mixed raw materials, there is a decrease in the metal content in ores and a deterioration in the performance of processing plants. Traditional pyrometallurgical methods for processing oxidized ores are inefficient and environmentally unsafe, which requires the development of new hydrometallurgical technologies. The study of thermodynamics and kinetics of leaching of oxidized ores of non-ferrous metals, as well as optimization of their processing processes are important tasks for creating cost-effective and environmentally friendly production.
Research methods: The project provides for carrying out physico-chemical studies to determine the mineralogical, chemical and granulometric compositions of lead-zinc oxide ore using modern methods of analysis: X-ray diffraction, immersion, thermogravimetric, scanning electron microscopy, spectral, chemical, sieve and others. It is also planned to conduct thermodynamic studies of the main minerals of lead and zinc, as well as kinetic studies of the sulfuric acid leaching process in order to determine reaction parameters and optimize technological modes. The received data will be processed using modern software tools.

A comprehensive analysis of literary sources and patent information was carried out on the project topic, as well as a detailed review of existing research and development. Based on the data obtained, a theoretical basis was formed for further experimental work. The necessary materials and reagents have been prepared for laboratory tests to ensure reproducibility and reliability of the results. In addition, the work plan of the project was clarified and detailed, including the sequence and methods of conducting experiments, which will effectively implement the goals and objectives of the study. The article in the Bulletin of VSTU No. 2, 2025, was accepted for publication. |
