On March 4, 2025, ADA University hosted a roundtable discussion titled "Expanding Cooperation in Higher Education between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan." The event brought together Ministers of Education from both countries, rectors of leading universities, and representatives of the academic community.
During the roundtable, memoranda of understanding were signed between universities of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. In particular, D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) concluded agreements with Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, and Azerbaijan Technical University.
Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, highlighted the emerging opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of higher education and technology. He emphasized that the fraternal ties between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan should be reflected in educational and scientific collaboration.
Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, Emin Amrullayev, stressed the importance of advancing educational cooperation between the two nations. He noted that both countries have agreed to adopt a similar strategic approach in the field of education, based on national interests, to strengthen higher education and ensure the sustainable development of universities.
Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Alim Bayel, remarked that both countries are undergoing large-scale educational reforms and expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of cooperation in this area.
The signing of these agreements opens new horizons for academic and scientific collaboration between universities in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, contributing to the enhancement of educational quality and the deepening of bilateral ties.
