As part of developing dual education and strengthening partnerships with industrial enterprises, a meeting was held between students and representatives of Ulba Metallurgical Plant JSC (UMP). The event was aimed at providing students with practical insight into opportunities for industrial internship, dual education, and subsequent employment at one of the region’s leading enterprises.
Company representatives delivered an informative presentation outlining the plant’s structure, key areas of activity, in-demand specialties, and workforce needs. Particular attention was paid to opportunities for students of technical educational programs, internship conditions, and prospects for professional growth at the enterprise.
During the meeting, a corporate film about production processes, technological equipment, and the scale of the plant’s operations was shown. The visual materials enabled students to clearly observe real working conditions, modern equipment, and the high level of production organization, which increased their interest in the enterprise as a potential place for internship and future employment.
The most valuable part of the meeting was the live interaction between students and UMP representatives. Students actively asked questions about job specifics, requirements for young professionals, salary levels, working conditions, and career opportunities. In turn, the company’s representatives noted the students’ strong interest and expressed their readiness to cooperate within the framework of dual education.
Such meetings help students form a clear understanding of their future professional activities, increase motivation for learning, and establish direct dialogue between the university and industry. For the enterprise, this is an opportunity for early selection of promising personnel, and for students, a real chance to gain practice-oriented experience and secure employment.
The meeting demonstrated strong mutual interest and became another step toward developing effective cooperation between the educational institution and the region’s industrial sector.
