From December 6 to 8, 2025, the National Hackathon “AI-Sana Shakarim Solveathon: AI & Agriculture–2025” was held in the city of Semey at Shakarim University.
The Solveathon is a hackathon focused on developing innovative project solutions, bringing together students, researchers, and industry representatives. Over the course of three days, teams worked on real-world challenges proposed by industrial partners in the fields of agriculture and artificial intelligence.
Participants represented seven leading universities of Kazakhstan:
- D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU)
- Astana IT University
- Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
- International University of Information Technologies (IUIT)
- Shakarim University
- Alikhan Bokeikhan University
- S. Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical University
Two teams from EKTU took part in the hackathon, and one of them secured third place.
