UNT will be held from June 20 to July 1 in 167 settlements. It was informed by the Minister of Education and Science, Erlan Sagadiyev, during the meeting of the Government of the RK. As it was mentioned, there’re 120 test tasks. The maximum score is 140. The passing score is 50 points, for admission to the national universities it is necessary to score 65 points.

According to the Minister, UNT will be conducted for the 15th time in 2018. During these years, UNT has been participated by over 1.5 million schools’ graduates. It’s 80% of total amount of graduates. Until 2017, UNT had 3 functions: function of final exam, as a summary of 11 years school studying; as an entrance examination to the university; and as the mechanism for awarding state educational grants.

‘As you know, such testing format was changed in 2017. Now, final attestation or final exam is conducted in schools, but UNT has become an entrance exam to the university and awarding state grants’ – emphasized E. Sagadiyev.

Final attestation, in other words final exam in schools will be conducted from May 29 to June 9. Exams are conducted by 5 subject, including 4 mandatory and 1 subject of choice. All examinations are divided into oral and written exams and tests. The materials for the final examinations are prepared by the National Testing Center and will be delivered by special communication to all regional education departments by May 25 of this year.

‘Format of UNT hasn’t changed in 2018; it means it will be conducted in the actual format, as in the past year. Terms of UNT and the number of test tasks do not change’ – said the Minister of Education and Science.
