Ust-Kamenogorsk, 19 Serikbayev Street,announces a competition for the following vacant academic positions:
Acting Professor
- International School of Engineering (ISE) – 2 positions.
Qualification requirements:
- A PhD or Doctor of Science degree in the relevant field.
- Academic title of Professor.
- Proficiency in a foreign language at B2 level or higher (for non-language disciplines), confirmed by an international certificate in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
- Certificate of advanced training in the profile of the taught discipline within the last 5 years.
In case of non-fulfillment of one of the requirements, the decision is made by the competition commission.
Associate Professor:
- School of Architecture, Construction, and Energy (SACE) – 1 position.
Acting Associate Professor:
- International School of Engineering (ISE) – 2 positions;
- School of Digital Technologies and Information and Innovation Technologies (SDTIIT) – 1 position.
Qualification requirements:
- A PhD or Doctor of Science degree in the relevant field.
- Academic title of Associate Professor (CoCSON)/Docent (Higher Attestation Commission).
- Proficiency in a foreign language at B2 level or higher (for non-language disciplines), confirmed by an international certificate in accordance with CEFR.
- Certificate of professional development in the field of education completed within the last 3 years, with at least 72 academic hours per course.
In case of non-fulfillment of one of the requirements, the decision is made by the competition commission.
Senior Lecturer:
- School of Earth Sciences (SES) – 8 positions;
- Center for Language Competencies (CLC) – 2 positions;
- School of Architecture, Construction, and Energy (SACE) – 1 position;
- Business School (BS) – 1 position;
- International School of Engineering (ISE) – 1 position;
- School of Digital Technologies and Information and Innovation Technologies (SDTIIT) – 2 positions.
Qualification requirements (at least one of the following):
A. Academic Qualifications:
1. One of the following:
- PhD or Doctorate in the relevant field;
- PhD studies completed no more than 3 years ago;
- Postgraduate education in the relevant specialty.
2. With at least 10 years of academic experience and one of the following:
- Textbook or teaching manual recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan or UMS;
- Sole-author teaching manual or textbook recommended by the University’s Academic Council;
- Five scientific articles in journals recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in the Field of Education and Science of RK;
- One article in an international peer-reviewed scientific journal ranked in Q1–Q3 in Journal Citation Reports (Clarivate Analytics), or indexed in Scopus with a CiteScore percentile of at least 35;
- Published MOOC on the national platform of open education of Kazakhstan;
- Higher or postgraduate education in a relevant field obtained abroad;
- Foreign language proficiency of at least B1 level (for non-language disciplines), confirmed by an international certificate in accordance with CEFR;
- Membership in the Union of Architects of RK;
- Possession of international professional certificates.
B. Certificate of advanced training in education within the last 3 years, with a course duration of at least 72 academic hours.
Head of the Center for Competencies
- Center for Language Competencies (CLC) – 1 position.
Qualification requirements:
- PhD, Doctoral, or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or professional/managerial experience in the specialty for at least 5 years.
- Proficiency in a foreign language at B1 level or higher, confirmed by an international certificate in accordance with CEFR.
- Certificate of advanced training in educational management.
In case of non-fulfillment of one of the requirements, the decision is made by the competition commission.

Applicants must submit a written application addressed to the Chair of the Management Board–Rector of the University.
The following documents must be submitted along with the application:
- Personal record sheet
- Autobiography
- ID card (for verification)
- Copies of diplomas (educational, academic degrees, academic titles) + originals for verification
- Copies of certificates of retraining/advanced training (if available) + originals for verification
- Certified copy of the employment record (from the current or last employer)
- List of scientific works and inventions (if available), certified by the head of department, dean, and academic secretary of the university
- Reference letter from the last place of employment
- Medical certificate form 075/U issued no more than 3 months prior
- Certificate of no criminal record issued by the authorized body (Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records of the Prosecutor General’s Office of RK)
- Certificate from a neuropsychiatric organization (issued no more than 10 days prior)
- Certificate from a narcological organization (issued no more than 10 days prior)
- For teaching staff: Presentation of academic and research development
- For deans and deputy deans: Project of a development program
