Fundamentals of Survey and Design of Bridge Crossings
Description: The discipline studies the basics of survey and design of bridge crossings taking into account hydrological and geological conditions. It deals with the issues of bridge crossing layout, development of the scheme of the morphostructure, water-regulating structures and longitudinal profile of the bridge. Students learn methods of water flow distribution between the channel and floodplain, principles of bridge structure type selection and support location, as well as the basics of hydraulic calculations and requirements for stability and reliability of the structure.
