Academic Mobility

Under the academic mobility program, students of the specialty “Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications” studied in Hungary, Poland, and Malaysia.

In the 2023–2024 academic year, students studied at Obuda University in Budapest, Hungary.

One of the most attractive aspects of studying at a European university was the opportunity to visit other cities and countries.

Students had the chance to visit many European capitals, including Paris, Rome, Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava, Amsterdam, Berlin, Warsaw, and others.

Competitions

Under the guidance of their instructors, students of the “Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications” educational program take part in competitions, exhibitions, Olympiads, and other events of national and international significance.

Every year, students participate in the Republican Subject Olympiad among higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the specialty “Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications” and consistently win prize places.

This demonstrates that they possess the necessary knowledge base to become qualified specialists in the field of automation and control.

Students’ Research Work

Students actively participate in the Annual Republican Competition of Students’ Research Works in natural, technical, social-humanitarian, and economic sciences among higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized each year by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

They regularly publish the results of their research in the proceedings of international and republican conferences and in journals recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education (KOKSON), including the Bulletin of EKTU.

On April 7–8, 2022, the D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University hosted the 8th International Scientific and Technical Conference of Students, Master’s Students, and Young Scientists “Creativity of Youth for the Innovative Development of Kazakhstan”, dedicated to the 100th anniversaries of the first rector D.M. Serikbayev and the second rector A.K. Sidorov.

Social Activities

Educational and upbringing activities are conducted systematically using various forms corresponding to the evolving directions of the educational and organizational sphere (curator hours, round tables, debates, festive evenings, conversations, meetings, competitions, “Department Days” in dormitories, etc.).

Students of the educational program actively participate in regional, city-level, university-wide, school, and interschool events.

Every year, students win prizes in creative competitions and contests such as:
