Joint Educational Program
The university implements a Joint Educational Program (JEP) “6B07109 – Medical Engineering (Medical Equipment)” in collaboration with the Medical University of Semey (students will study the disciplines of the medical-biological module during the first semester of the second year).
The program is delivered in full-time mode, in Kazakh and Russian languages.
The duration of the educational program is 4 years (based on secondary education).
Students are provided with access to modern laboratories, clinical facilities, and opportunities for industrial internships.

Objective of the Educational Program
Training highly qualified engineers in the field of medical equipment, equipped with knowledge in engineering, medicine, and information technology, capable of developing, maintaining, and implementing modern medical devices and systems to improve the quality of diagnostics, treatment, and disease prevention.
Objects of Professional Activity
- Medical equipment and devices;
- Instruments and systems for diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation;
- Biomedical sensors and measuring instruments;
- Hardware and software systems for processing and visualization of biomedical signals;
- Processes of operation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical instruments;
- Technologies and systems ensuring the safety and reliability of medical equipment.
Functions of Professional Activity
- Development, design, and modernization of medical equipment and devices;
- Operation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment;
- Quality, reliability, and safety control of medical systems and devices;
- Participation in research and innovation projects in the field of biomedical engineering;
- Consulting medical personnel on the use and maintenance of medical equipment.
Graduates of the educational program “6B07109 – Medical Engineering (Medical Equipment)” may hold the following positions:
- Engineer in medical equipment and devices;
- Engineer in operation and maintenance of medical instruments;
- Electronics engineer (in the medical field);
- Specialist in service and repair of medical equipment;
- Design engineer or project engineer for medical devices;
- Engineer in metrology and technical control of medical equipment.

After completing the program, the student is awarded the degree of Bachelor of Engineering and Technology in the educational program “6B07109 – Medical Engineering (Medical Equipment).”
The graduate may continue their studies in Master's programs in the field of “7M07109 – Medical Engineering (Medical Equipment)”.
