Research and International Cooperation

Research work is one of the priority directions for the formation of a unified educational space of the university, based on ensuring a close relationship between the fundamental science, education and professional environment of future bachelors and masters.

Sub-department conducts scientific research:

  • Modernization of the economy of Kazakhstan on the principles of "green growth": a regional aspect (Denisova O.K.);
  • Research of the convergence of the regions of Kazakhstan (Batalov Yu.V.);
  • Non-standard employment in the economy of Kazakhstan: scale, dynamics, regulation (Pestunova G.B.);
  • Production of titanium products for the oil and gas industry (Denisova O.K.)
• On the contractual theme:
  • Development of a tariff for the collection, removal, disposal, processing and disposal of solid domestic waste in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk (Krause N.V.).

On the basis of scientific research, the volume of scientific publications in the republican magazines and journals of the near and far abroad is increasing.

In the 2016-2017 academic year, five articles in journals with a nonzero impact factor were published:

13 scientific articles and 3 monographs were published, in journals recommended by the Committee for Control in the Sphere of Education.

Teachers of sub-department pass scientific foreign internships, participate in economic congresses.

The research materials of sub-department are reported at international scientific-practical and scientific-methodical conferences.

Faculty of sub-department annually undergoes advanced training in the framework of IT-competence, in the field of management and entrepreneurship, language competencies. Certificates are included.

The educational and consulting center "ECONOM" was organized to provide paid educational and consulting services to students, entrepreneurs and other interested persons.

Bilateral "Agreement on the implementation of educational master programs in a network form within the framework of the SCO University" was concluded between D. Serikbayev EKSTU and NITU "Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys" in November 2014.
