The purpose of the educational program

Training of competent certified specialists with knowledge and skills in the field of theory of organization and management of production, capable of professionally setting and effectively solving problems of designing organizational and economic characteristics of production systems, competent in the field of economics of industrial enterprises, management and planning of supply chains and stocks in them.

The main idea of the EP, reflecting its orientation

In the era of post-industrial economic development, the sphere of material production is undergoing significant changes caused by changes in the methods and technologies of manufacturing products. Industrial production of consumer goods is being replaced by a new concept of in-line production of products to order - "lean manufacturing". This makes it possible to unite the efforts of all employees of the enterprise and suppliers, to connect them into a single integrated whole – a flexible production system capable of responding to market demand in a timely and adequate manner, and to increase production efficiency.

Interaction with foreign universities

D. Serikbaev VKTU Business School offers undergraduate programs in collaboration with leading Russian universities:

• The dual-degree program - 6B04103 - Business Management of Production Systems is implemented based on an agreement signed between D. Serikbayev ЕKTU ( Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan ) and NSTU (Novosibirsk, Russia) on the implementation of an integrated educational program. Under this program, training is provided during the first and third years at ЕKTU, and the second and fourth years at NSTU, in accordance with the agreed upon curriculum of the Program. Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded diplomas by each university.

The first cohort enrolled in 2020, with graduation successfully taking place in 2024. Each year, including 2025, applicants have been recruited for this program, which has seen high interest among graduates of general education schools.

•  A network-based delivery of educational programs using online courses between D. Serikbayev ЕKTU ( Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan ) and the National Research University Higher School of Economics (Moscow, Russia) under an agreement concluded between the universities in 2021 and successfully implemented to date.

HSE University provides instruction for the portion of the educational program that corresponds to HSE online courses, which are available on the Open Education and Online Education at HSE platforms. This instruction covers a specific set of subjects, as stipulated by the agreement, for undergraduate students in the Business School's first through third years.
