D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University is taking part in Bett UK 2026, one of the world’s largest international platforms in the field of educational technologies, held in London, United Kingdom.
EKTU’s participation is organized within the Kazakhstan National Pavilion established by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The national pavilion serves as a platform for presenting the priority areas of development of the country’s higher and postgraduate education system, including the digitalization of educational processes, the implementation of solutions based on artificial intelligence, the development of scientific research, and the expansion of international academic cooperation.
The opening ceremony and exhibition activities are attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, who is also holding a series of meetings with representatives of leading foreign universities, research centers, and global technology companies. The Minister’s participation highlights the strategic role of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in promoting Kazakhstan’s higher education system on international educational and technological platforms.
Within the national pavilion, D. Serikbayev EKTU presents its educational programs, research projects, and practices of digital transformation in engineering education. In particular, new development prospects of the Luban Workshop were showcased in connection with the newly established SMART Driving Technology Engineering Center. Alongside engineering education, the university also presented the results of research in the field of digital archaeology, implemented at the intersection of the humanities and IT technologies. Archaeologists and IT specialists of the university have created an immersive VR reconstruction of grottoes with rock paintings dating back approximately four thousand years, based on many years of archaeological research and the application of modern digital methods of analysis and restoration of ancient images. The development represents not a virtual tour, but a scientific VR reconstruction grounded in archaeological data and measurements. EKTU’s participation in Bett UK 2026 is aimed at developing international partnerships, establishing new academic and research links, and studying advanced global experience in the field of EdTech.
The Bett UK exhibition annually brings together representatives of government bodies, educational institutions, technology companies, and the expert community from dozens of countries. The program includes plenary sessions, thematic discussions, presentations of innovative educational solutions, and business meetings focused on the future of education, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence.
The participation of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University in Bett UK 2026 is carried out with systematic support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and aligns with the strategic course aimed at improving the quality of education, advancing science, and integrating Kazakhstani universities into the global academic space.
