The research work of students is mandatory, is organically an integral part of the training of specialists at the university and is one of the main tasks of the department and solved on the basis of the unity of educational and scientific processes. The main task of the research work of students and master studentsis differentiated attracting students to the various forms of creative activity, given the level of their training.

During the 2016-2017 school year students participated in the following activities:*On March 28, 2017 at the University of Narxoz in Almaty was the 9th Republican Student subject olympiad in economic specialities among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It was attended by 10 teams after the qualifying round.

Our university was presented by the team of the specialty of 5B050600 «Economy» (students of the group 14-BE-1 Nugumanov Arman, Tretyakova Olga and Tarnopolskaya Olesya, Supervisor - Mezentseva Larisa Anatolievna). Based on the results of three rounds they won 3 place and awarded the diploma of the III degree, diploma in the nomination «For the will to win».



On April 11-12, 2017 in Almaty was held III Republican Student Festival «Тірегі сендер елімнің» under the auspices of the Council of Young Scientists at the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the qualifying round involved 28 universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The final was passed 9 student teams from 6 cities of Kazakhstan. The University was represented by command «START TO MARS» consisting of: Nikolai Antonov (14-RT-1), Gazizov Aidos (14-RT-1), Ikbaeva Alina (15-BE-1), Tretyakova Olga (14-BE-1), Hwang Vasily (15-BE-1).

EKSTU command «START TO MARS» took the honorable prize II place. Very symbolic that the results of the Olympiad were summed up on the day of the Kazakhstan science and the International Day of cosmonautics.



The students gave an interview to the newspaper «Caravan», TV channel «Almaty TV» and the republican TV Channel «STS».

On April 12, 2017 at the School of Economics and Management at the University of Narxoz held an international scientific and practical online conference of young scientists, master students and students on the theme «The Economic Zone of the Silk Road: opportunities and prospects», which takes a special interest in heard the report on the theme «Аймақтардағы туризмды дамыту жолдары student» by student of the group of 16-BETK-1 Souzbek E.S.;

Participants of the online conference shared their experiences of research on the influence of geopolitical and integration processes in the economic and political development of states along the economic zone of the Silk Road. The young scientists also presented their scientific approaches to innovative management models and discussed ways of development of tourism in the New Silk Road.



A student of 4 course of specialty «Economy» Duisenbekova Aigerim became the winner of the competition for student scholarships of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Leader of the nation.



Duisenbekova Aigerim was one of 32 new fellows, who were selected from among 300 candidates. 

Within the framework of the launch of this program, she has been invited from 21 to 23 April 2017 at the first major seminar «Parliamentarism in Germany and the economic transformation of Kazakhstan as a prerequisite for the development of a social market economy»;

During the seminar, the new fellows were given certificates to award scholarships to grant of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.



Duisenbekova A.A. was among the performers and participated in the drafting of the госбюджетной scientific topics No. 49-525-15 «Modernization of Kazakhstan's economy on the principles of «green growth»: the regional dimension» (head of the state budget theme - K.E.N., Associate Professor Varavin E.V.).

Students and master students in the course of the year, participated actively in the conferences and also have publications in the journals of the Monitoring Committee in the field of education and science.
