The sphere of professional activity. Specialists obtained education on specialty -6В02101 Design are trained to make creative work in area of architecture project making, interior, exposition, visual communication, advertisement.

Objects of graduates' professional activity:

• Architectural styling: urban, rural, park design, small architectural forms, elements of accomplishment, landscape gardening, visual communication, display area, equipment and furniture in urban area, interiors of buildings, equipment and furniture in interior, expositions, elements of monumental decorative art in exterior and interior.
• Industrial design: modeling of informal dress, special clothes, outfit of garment, clothing accessories, textile and actor’s toggery.

Subject-matter of professional activity:

• Architecture design, interior design, landscape design, monumental decorative art;
• Clothes design, furniture design, technical design and decorative arts and crafts.

Kinds of professional activity:

• Design work including work out of concept, projects, maquettes, models of output;
• Administrative-and-managerial;
• Scientific and educational.

Functions of professional activity. Possession of modern methods and forms of art designing which allows creating harmonious body-space area, and also release condition of various art objects.

Routine tasks of professional activity. Designing sample of goods, framing, by means of computer modeling, imposition planning exposition work out, agreeable to the aesthetic characteristics.

Areas of activities:

• Architecture design, interior design, landscape design, monumental decorative art.
• Clothes design, furniture design, technical design and decorative arts and crafts.
• Graphical design (advertisement design, printing design, visual culture, typographical art and photography design).

Requirements to bachelors competence on specialty 5B042100 – Design:

• Have an idea of: the role in a society and boundaries of design work.
• Know: methods of gathering and design of conceptual design materials; operational sequence in designing; requirements to project material.
• Be able to: work with reference literature, draw up reference scheme, determine operational sequence in designing, make sketches, present work according to all requirements.
• Have skills of: on-site investigation of objects and situation analysis; individual task making; forming creative conception; color graphics; making models.
• Be competent in: modern trends in area of architecture, art and design, history of nation’s culture, their traditions and customs. Orientating yourself in a constant world changes.

The department of Architecture has good material and technical base for training specialists: rooms, methodical cabinets, halls of art, painting and sculpture, lab of architectural physics, architect's bureau, training and production workshop of clothes modeling, art hall with library stock of unique literature on art and architecture counting more than 6000 books and magazines.
