Main Achievements

1. During the period of 2008-2015 research on 29 scientific and scientific and technical programs was carried out. They include.

  • performed 35 projects of RK Ministry of Education and Science grant financing, total amount of 635.0 million tenge;
  • performed 10 projects of RK Ministry of Education and Science target program financing, total amount of 215.2 million tenge;
  • performed 4 research works of doctoral, 70 ones of candidate's theses and PhD theses, 225 ones of master's theses and 51 ones of bachelor's theses were carried out - in total 350 research works;
  • 18 patents, 2 certificates of intellectual property, 8 applications on patent were taken out;
  • scanning electron microscopy specialist trained on two-month training program in the JEOL company (Tokyo, Japan) and transmission electron microscopy specialist trained on training program in Royal Microscopy Society (Leeds, UK);
  • 84,5 % of laboratory specialists trained on seminars;
  • performed laboratory based training programs for 535 university and other organizations’ specialists;
  • according to the laboratory research results 631 works published (66 works in nonzero impact factor journals);
  • held 4 national and 10 international scientific conferences;
  • as a result of technology commercialization two technological area was created – material microplasma processing robotic complex and transportable gravity mineral processing complex. Innovative technology of materials surfaces processing by spraying various metal, ceramic and metal-ceramic powders and wire with the modernization and expansion of the functional parameters of microplasma spraying together with the Electric Welding Institute named after E.O. Paton NAS of Ukraine was introduced into technological process.

2. During VII Forum of interregional cooperation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation Heads of two states visited “IRGETAS” laboratory and highly assessed it. 

3. For the first time in Kazakhstan a contract between EKSTU and world-famous Japanese company «JEOL Ltd» was signed. It concerns creation of training scientific and research service center of nanotechnology and electronic microscopy on the basis of “IRGETAS”;

  • VII International scientific conference “Perspective technologies, equipment and analytical systems for materials science and nanomaterials” (Almaty, June 9-10, 2011);
  • ХІІ Republican scientific and technical conference of students, master students, postgraduate students and young teachers “Creativity of the young for innovation development of Kazakhstan” (Ust-Kamenogorsk, April 19-20, 2012);

Training and Retraining in the Laboratory

The laboratory conducted:

  • Annual professional development courses and training in the framework of budget program 023 " Professional development and retraining of public educational organizations staff" for a total of 395 people;
  • 4 master class of work on modern analytical equipment, conducted by companies' specialist - suppliers of equipment.
  • 10 workshops on advanced technology, modern analytical research methods and analytical equipment, carried out involving local and foreign scientists and specialists of companies - suppliers of equipment;
  • 17 training courses for specialists;
  • 6 scientific training in the near and far abroad.

  • One specialist of scanning electronic microscopy in JEOL Ltd. (Japan) was prepared.
